Marek Bartos was born in the Czech Republic in 1981, he currently lives and works in Prague. 

2001 graduated from Technical School of Communication - Visual Arts and Production 

2002 - 2003 California State University, Long Beach, Cinematography, Film - courses

2001 - 2006 Thomas Bata University of Zlin, Faculty of Multimedia Communication - Visual Arts, Department of Advertising Photography and Graphic Design

2005 – 2008 worked as an assistant for Czech and international photographers – Albert Watson (USA), Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin (UK), Steffen Jahn (DE), Andreas Hoffmann (DE), Mikhail Korolev (RU), Toshiharu Hashimoto (JP), Michael Penn (UK).
